Major features and fixes in this release (11.012)
  • Reply With Quote (with nothing selected) on an HTML message will always quote the entire message, even if the message doesn't start with an HTML tag.
  • Client no longer freezes when loading a message with zero-length style runs.
  • Client grabs other HTML content from the Internet Headers, so style sheets and other content referenced in the <head> tags are used.
  • Client no longer crashes when opening the mailbox too quickly on startup (usually requires a slow connection to reproduce).
  • Client decodes URLs for embedded images in HTML messages so that images from messages posted from mobile clients will show up properly.
  • OS X client no longer displays a contact/directory name a second time after the user chooses from the list of matches.

Major features and fixes in this release (10.501)
• Drag and drop and pasteboard code has been rewritten on OS X. It should now be possible to drag and drop from the client to the OS X desktop, and the client should not slow down when content in other applications (such as a large Word document) are on the pasteboard.
• If the OTSW base URL, as configured on the server, begins with http:// or https://, the client won't prebends http://, allowing admins to use an https link to OTSW by configuring that explicitly.
• Printing e-mails with the Title: field in the header now prints the title again.
• Days outside the current month are printed with the correct color when printing a monthly calendar.
• Clicking on a link in an HTML message will no longer open the link in the message body; the user's external browser is launched.
• If the HTML message contains img tags where the src attribute is not quoted, quotes are added. This allows WebKit to properly handle images with un-escaped spaces in the URI (using an actual space, as in July 2005.jpg, instead of a %20, as in July%202005.jpg).
• Printing non-HTML messages and events won't fail if a standard body isn't downloaded from the server.
• WebKit displays properly if the reading pane is used on Windows.

Features (10.501)
• Time zone, visibility, and icon fields on an event have been moved from the Advanced tab to the Event tab.
• The Advanced tab for Events is now named Repeat.
• If an attachment has been uploaded with illegal characters in the filename (due to a known and fixed server bug), the client will remove the illegal characters when trying to open or save the attachment on Windows. (Previously, opening and saving would fail since Windows couldn't create the file with the name we were trying to use).
• User's IP addresses are displayed in the Session Monitor (for the time being, the server is only sending part of the IP addresses to the client (i.e. 127.0.0.1 might be sent to the client as 127.0). Until a newer release of the server is available, these won't display in full).

Calendar Events - Advanced Repeat Types (10.501)
• Added new types of repeats: you can choose every n days/weeks/months/years/hours/minutes.
• Daily: can choose between every n days, weekdays, or weekends.
• Weekly: Can choose the specific days of the week to repeat on (i.e. 'Every 2 weeks on Monday and Thursday')
• Monthly/Yearly: Can choose 'Same day of week' (i.e. 'Every 6 months on the first Friday of the month')
• All old repeat types have been replaced with comparable new ones (i.e. biweekly becomes 'Every 2 weeks'). An old event (created with an older client) on an FC 11 server should show up as the appropriate new event in the FC 11 client.
• Connecting to an older server will let you create the old types of repeats.

Known Issues (10.501)
• When replying to an HTML message, the reply is in FirstClass format, not in HTML. We do not have an HTML editor and will not do so in FC 11.
• When replying with quote from a WebKit window, on OS X Only:
• If nothing is selected, the source HTML is used and converted to FirstClass format.
• If something is selected in WebKit (also works for a straight Reply with something selected), the plain text for the selection is used. This is because HTML isn't a standard clipboard format on OS X (even Safari doesn't source HTML) and WebKit only provides a way to get a plain text version of the selected content. This means that quoting an entire message will retain formatting if nothing is selected; if something is selected, the reply has no formatting at all.
• WebKit is unstable when using the reading pane (Outlook-style view) on OS X. Opening more than one HTML message without restarting the client will crash the client, and drawing order issues cause WebKit to flash or not draw properly. HTML viewing without using the reading pane behaves normally.
• Styled text reply quotes may crash the client.
• Using "Explorer View" selecting a message it may render initially as blank. (OS X ONLY).
• Some redraw issues after choosing "View/Toolbars/Show Toolbar. (OS X ONLY).
• Some crashes may appear when reading Internet messages and may also affect local mail. (OS X ONLY).
• Some editing and forms related issues remained.
• Paste option may be missing when selecting "Copy" and when attempting to paste in certain viewing mode.

Major features and fixes in this release (FCC 10.003)

Calendar Printing

• Fixed a bug with list mode printing that was occasionally printing incorrect data instead of the event start and end time.
• Weekly and monthly printouts now use a different positioning algorithm. A blank weekly or monthly calendar should now take up an entire page. Each row has an 'ideal height' - the space the row would take up on an empty calendar. The positioning will keep row sizes as close to the ideal height as possible, while trying to get as much onto a single page as possible.

Fixes and Improvements

• If you create a new event on a location calendar, the event will be created with the location name set to the name of the calendar (i.e. an event created on the 'Boardroom' location calendar has its location set to 'Boardroom'). This only affects event creation; the location can be changed as desired.

• Fixed checkboxes on the print layout dialog that were disabled or in weird state when printing a calendar (print on the toolbar, File -> Print, Ctrl+P) without ever having set properties through File -> Print Layout.
• The client will allow file uploading for files with names greater than 63 bytes in length. Names are shortened to 63 bytes, properly preserving the file extension, since the server still has a 63-byte limit.
• OSX client can't login with password "ß". Fixed
• Fixed some menu items that were missing.
