Common World FirstClass Remote Admin Service

It was a very successful first year for our Remote Admin services. We had just over two dozen of our client customers sign up. In our second year more and more of our customers are joining our Remote Admin service. I am happy to announce that Common World will be continuing the services and adding new solutions as well as fine tuning and simplifying bundles.

Our RA (Remote Admin) service saved many billable hours on travel and on-site time for our customers. We have many examples of how we saved time and money for our clients by logging in and taking care of issues quickly. This service also allowed us to manage our time better and service more clients when updating, and servicing FirstClass. It gave us tools to be right at the server console at all hours of the day. This saved our customers time who would normally have to be at the server restarting it and assisting as we troubled shoot it. Offering this RA service to our customers was a huge advancement in our service to them. It allowed us to manage our time better to handle more customer service dates. More importantly we are saving time and money for our customers as their servers are running problem free. I look forward to this next year and the years to come.

Common World Remote Admin Service for FirstClass

Using the Remote Admin software Timbuktu we can offer more and faster service to all clients that subscribe. We will no longer have to be on site to take care of any issue. We can now update and perform maintenance any hours of the day or night, as well as check up on all the server settings and configurations. RA service gives give us the tools to keep the FC Server & IS running. If there are any problems we have the ability to log in from where ever we are at as long as we have internet access. The simple ability to restart the server or run updates at any time, day or night saves time for you and us. As updates will be performed after school hours, there is no need for any server downtime during the school day. This Remote Admin service has been requested for many years. Im very happy to now offer it as a yearly service of Common World.

This Service is the answer to keeping your FirstClass server up to date and running with out ever thinking about it. We will now do the work off site and keep an eye on it. We also hope that this new service helps expand the solutions and features used on your FirstClass server. You can trust us to keep your server up-to-date and running well. Below we have descriptions of the Remote Admin packages offered. We talked to many of our clients about their needs and offer options of this new service. We also bundeled on-site consulting days at a discounted rate. We will try to sync the date and cost of this service to your yearly M&S bill on request or to a start of July 1.

Common World FirstClass Remote Admin Packages

RA (Remote Admin Basic Package)
The Remote Admin service is for all off site updating and maintenance of the FirstClass Server and IS. It includes all software updating, maintenances of Server and IS configurations, email reports as needed, and limited 24/7 access support for emergencies. We also offer more direct access to our support personal. The RA package also includes remote support of all solutions built by Common World and any basic configurations of FirstClass. There is a total of 6 hours/month of remote support time before a special rate of $35/hour.

Example of services that may be needed from month to month - software updates, scheduled backups, spam configuration, security maintenance, service pack updates (performed during the night hours). This Remote Admin service was designed to offer better access and more support to our clients. Over all, this service will save money for our clients. It does not include any new solution building, training time, support for using new features and solutions.

If you do purchase only this level of RA we do recommend to add multiple days of on-site service. This Remote Admin service (RA package) and any service added to this locks the client into a special discounted price for on & off site services, and travel. These prices are only offered to clients that purchase our Remote Admin services.

RA+B (Remote Admin with Solutions Building)
Remote Admin plus Solution Building off-site. This Remote Admin package includes all the Normal Remote Admin service (RA package) plus adds the extra service of building custom solutions on your FirstClass server off site. This service takes care of all your server needs as we log in remote and perform them. All maintenance, and any other service needs are included. The only FirstClass service this package (RA+B package) may not cover is the normal day to day tasks like creating and deleting users.


Services of migrations and new server installs are not included - they require on-site time.. Training of staff is also not included. Limited consulting is included as long as there was an on-site day that year to cover needed face to face time.

Examples of this service beyond the RA package include building conference solutions, calendaring solutions, and other custom solutions. Other tasks like setting up shared areas, electronic form solutions, shared contacts folders, permissions updates, electronic form updates, tweaking of all other custom solutions, and much more. would also be covered. The RA+B service also includes custom art and environment building. We also offer add on solutions like the CW Web Wrapper at a resonable additional cost.
